This is one of Peter Lik's most iconic images ever released. This listing is for the framed version of the artwork shown, the details are featured below. COA Mounted in frame on the back. It is an original, signed, and numbered Limited Edition photograph. This is one of the most sought after Peter Lik pieces you can own. This is a rare opportunity to collect one for significantly less. The specific details of the artwork are as follows. 1.5 meter (150cm) size, the perfect size for hanging over a bed or couch.
It is an authentic signed a numbered limited edition #'d/950. The signature on the front is in silver as well the edition number. The COA (Certificate of Authenticity) pictured is included with the artwork attached to photo on the back. The framed artwork measures roughly 76" x 37", the image itself measures approximately 59.5" x 19.5".This piece was produced/mounted/framed directly by the Peter Lik Gallery in the Roma 606 Cigar Leaf style frame (this is a darker rich brown color with a beautiful style to the wood grain, it appears more medium or dark brown depending on the lighting). This piece also was framed originally with a black liner (matting). This is the NEWER production style like current pieces you would see in the gallery, the image itself is sealed in acrylic/lexan. This style has been used since 2009/2010 and they tend to show less glare when hung. This image is printed on Silver Halide Fuji Crystal Archive paper like all authentic Peter Lik pieces. This is what gives the glow, backlit, or color shifting look that really makes the image pop under different lighting. The artwork is in great overall condition, the surface of the image and frame may have some very minor imperfections as it is not completely brand new. From being moved or hung pieces many times just acquire some more subtle things where they aren't completely perfect.
I don't see any obvious or large notable marks on the frame or image though I feel are worth noting. The surface of the image on close inspection may some very minor and fine surface scratches likely just from being dusted or moved over time. I mention this on all my listings for pieces that aren't brand new so there are no unpleasant surprises. Many pieces will be in close to like new or very well cared for condition.
Anything you see in the pictures that may look odd or like imperfections is just dust/glare/fingerprints. It is also common for the backing paper to have some marks, tears, or other signs of being hung previously. I have owned quite a few different Sacred Sunrise over the years and this is the best example I have ever seen/owned.The item "Peter Lik Coastal Dreams 1.5 Meter Framed Limited Edition #'d/950 Sold Out" is in sale since Tuesday, December 17, 2019.
